
The Beer Game
The object of the game is to meet customer demand for cases of beer through the distribution side of a multi-stage supply chain with minimal expenditure on back orders and inventory. Loads of fun, frustration and finding out what not to do.
1 What to expect
With the base of the exercise being ‘no verbal communication’ between entities, levels of frustration (with themselves and each other) start to fester as teams try desperately to keep their stock at optimum range. The session is fully facilitated by the Missing Link team, including all materials, presentations and feedback.
2 Outcomes / Lessons
A renewed understanding of the complexity around supply chain management, including the all-important lesson that communication through the entire line is what will get each entity of the chain running at peak performance.
